If you’ve spent at least five years involved in revitalizing, preserving or strengthening communities, you can enroll in APA/LeadershipPlenty. You can count time spent volunteering and working on school projects.

The program is open to those working in junior-to-mid-level programmatic and administrative positions related to community development or urban planning; for example, project managers or division directors. Board members, volunteers, as well as executives of small organizations, also can apply.

Community-based organizations, such as community development
...corporations, local development corporations, housing organizations,
...neighborhood improvement associations and similar organizations.
Local government and public housing agencies.
Any organization that works on urban development issues.
Community-oriented foundations and corporate giving programs.
